So as I am sure many of your have heard about close reading and the purpose of using it to allow your students to work with a text. Today I am going to share a little about some close reading strategies I am planning to use in my classroom.
Last week we had two snow days, which gave me a lot of time to research and create lessons! I came across another blog featuring a close reading strategy that I plan on using this week with my kiddos. The strategy is called the close reading OREO - Check out more about it: here.
Even though it is the middle of the year, I think this is a great opportunity to review and reignite the idea of close reading. Especially after so many SNOW Days and Delays!
In addition to that lesson I plan on using some other materials I created as well. This activities align directly with 3rd Grade - Anchor Standard 2 - informational. Feel free to use in your own room as well!
You can pick them up here for free!
Also here is a shot of some of the Snow Day Snuggles we squeezed in as well! Look for another new post discussing baby sign language! I am very excited to begin using that with him as well.
